One of my favourite parts about weddings is how they are all so unique from each other. I can go back to a venue that I've been to before, and the energy is just different. The love you have for each other, your relationships with friends and family, even the way you choose to decorate - they all make your day uniquely you.
As your story unfolds throughout the day, I observe and document. I try to stay out of the way, letting the moments happen naturally.

Let's not fake it. I don't want to get you to recreate a moment, just because I want to document it from another angle. I try my best throughout the day to be ready for whatever happens. I will wear running shoes just in case I need to sprint across your venue to get to the moment.

You shouldn't feel like it is work to be at your own wedding. I never want anyone I collaborate with to feel like they are performing. We will move through the day at a pace that feels right for the two of you.
Making it Effortless
We are all at your wedding or elopement to celebrate the two of you and the love you have for each other. If you need to take a moment for just the two of you, camera-free, I will never be offended. I want this day to feel like it was made for you, because it should - it is your day after all!

The more I get to know the two of you, the more I will know what kinds of photos you will like. I will learn from all the time we spend together during your engagements and any meetings before the wedding how you interact with each other, and that influences how I might prompt you for any posed photos we might take.

As soon as you have a date, you are more than welcome to reach out. In the past, there have been times I have had to turn away couples because I am already booked for their date. As much as I hate to say no, I really can't be in two places at once.
How soon should we book you?
Of course! While on the outside I may appear to be in a heteronormative relationship, I myself am a proud member of the queer community. I respect and celebrate love in all forms.
Are you LGBTQIA+ friendly?
This is totally dependant on how many hours are in your day and how many separate events are happening. If you have a larger family and want photos with everyone, that will make the gallery larger.
I've delivered weddings for full days that range from 250 photos to 1200 photos.
How many photos will we receive?
I know weddings can be expensive, that's why I like to discuss how much of a deposit works for you. Typically, most couples send 25% of the total package price as their deposit. This secures the date in my calendar for you. We can then come up with a plan for the rest of the payments. We can split it up into monthly payments, or whatever works for you.
How much do you require for a deposit? What about payment plans?
My goal is that you don't notice me throughout the day. I try to take a documentary approach during the getting-ready portion of the day. As we head into the ceremony, there will be no guidance from me, I want you to focus on getting married. There will be some gentle posing during group photos with your family & friends. Then if you choose to do couples photos, I wont necessarily "pose" you, but will prompt you so that you are not performing, but just being yourself. And I will have you laughing throughout it all.
What if we are awkward in front of the camera?
While I am based in Brantford, Ontario, I do love to travel. I've photographed weddings in Cuba and Mexico as well as all over southern Ontario.
I don't charge travel fees if your wedding is within 100 km of Brantford.
What about travel?
I try my best to get all galleries delivered before my 6 week guarantee that is written into my contract. I want you to be able to enjoy your gallery and share it - especially if there are people that couldn't make it to your wedding.
If you need your gallery sooner than that, I do have a rush fee of $500, meaning your gallery will be completed within 2 weeks of your date.
